Pretty much the entirety of southern and central England is in for it if this is to be believed. It follows the trend of other models.

I just can’t see how this’ll miss most of the SE looks to be building over the eastern side all the time

I never thought I'd say this because I love snow, but I need to get out. Haven't spoken to another human being since Monday face to face. I'm starting to rock back and forth. My boyfriend is meant to come tomorrow and if we get more snow, that's not happening.

Well reassuring to hear that from the ECM

If we look at the projected position at 6pm from the ECM:

And then the radar grab:

Both have the precipitation almost as far East as Amiens, so a pretty good match in terms of location

Of course, we need to wait and see what the dynamics are as this crosses the channel, but judging by the current radar returns towards the South-West, we shouldn't be too concerned

Let it continue to build east and throw in some reds so we can give our friends in the West a run for their money. Let’s all wake up to 49cms of snow and heavy snow falling.

ok, I know that’s never going to happen but just imagine. Just. Imagine.

I know exactly what you mean, I have been forced to bake bread because our road is so lethal and the local shop hasn't had any deliveries....

I think there is a lot of wishful thinking in this thread this evening ?

Well the snow is fab here in Woking, it's still snowing heavily and the radar looks amazing. So I'm not so sure? ;)

Thank you for cheering me up after a rubbish day at work!

I have kept half an eye on the radar when I could at work and wasn’t fancying our chances.  And after watching the snow to the north and west of us all week here in se Kent, I would love to end the week with some decent snowfall!

Where are you that it’s that bad?

Good ECM for sure, though IMO still maybe on the low side for some!

Also Nick,I note the 12z ECM still has a region of freezing rain for the south coast, particularly Hampshire and W.Sussex. Hope that doesn't happen as it will be like an ice rink.

Snow, followedby ice, followed by another dumping of snow on Friday daytime. Madness!
