That stuff over the channel is now starting to turn more northwesterly, real or not.

But even though it appears to be moving NW on the radar, it's still developing over France as it edges North.

Doesn't that mean the potential for it to continue to develop as it gets closer to the south coast?

Snowing quite heavily here, -1C and a bitter E’ly howler developing.

The only thing falling here is my optimism and tears of jealously! :)

Seems we've waited so long for a proper easterly only for it to stop the progression of the storm enough for the East of our region to miss out, I hope those in the red zone stay safe

Sorry I keep quoting you, but you've just stolen what I was going to say ;)

Will be interesting to see whether it will pivot into the south coast later in the evening?

How much snow do you still have leemondo? I think for me to see decent snow on the ground I’ll need to go for a drive on Saturday!

I think Brighton is probably a touch too far east to get this, I'm certainly not holding out much hope way northwest in Aylesbury!

Hi Mark,

Yes, can confirm that here too, a few flakes fluttering down, on the wind.

We're, just off Burnt Ash Hill.

Recently spoke to my daughter, who was at Elmstead Woods station, on her way to north London, to watch her beloved Arsenal, play Man. City. Did warn her, it's a long way to go, to sit in the freezing cold for 2 hours, to watch your team get humiliated, for the second time, in 5 days!! :cold: I wish them well, though but I do fear for them.

Regards,

Tom.

She's brave! For many reasons :D

I'm about 10 mins walk from Kidbrooke Station, on the Courtlands Estate, but nothing really coming down now.

I still think the band over France will deliver.

To be fair whatever happens with that band of snow, this set-up has still given me more than I was expecting given I was orginally right on the edge of where the models were predicting the snow.

Agreed though!

Sounds pretty crazy but in central Brighton it feels a bit too warm for snow, the snow that is floating about is very wet indeed!

I see that the snow on the last radar is building east of Brighton just off coast nice green blob developing. Reigate is finally going to get some at last !!! It would take a monumental swerve wnw for us to miss out this time !!!

We had a great snow event Monday evening and most of Tuesday, around 6 - 8", lost some to melt and wind, had a modest 2cm top up but nothing really since a couple of small flurries, I'm just frustrated for all the people missing out from what could have been an epic event for the whole region
