HIRLAM interestingly is the only model that's picked up the current band of snow over us..

Can someone please point me in the direction of the best radar to watch? I have Rain Alarm pro but it' not a snow radar.

Quick question. I noticed this  year all of the grit used is white. What happened to the brown stuff?

HIRLAM did the best in the slider pre xmas-

18z GFS follows a bit more East & also working towards the ECM !

And it’s currently miles out with the location whereas HILRAM is pretty damn close.

GFS has shifted eastwards, low is a solid 50 miles shifted and slanted better. Snow is equally further east. Expect this trend to continue as 18z still doesn't have the front right.

Also big risk of freezing rain for south Hampshire and maybe west Sussex.

Just very light (non landing) snow in mid Sussex after none all day............but absolutely bitterly cold out. Almost froze my face walking home from the station - complete contrast to this morning when it was evry cold but still.

Loving the football on telly....as mentioned above they’ll need the orange ball soon !

Flecks and a few flakes in Steyning, West Sussex. All eyes on tomo - and tonight's surprise modest streamer over us, Brighton included.

Looking at the radar, the GFS is already wrong about it's current location.

Freezing rain won’t melt the snow and it is an much rarer weather phenomenon than snow which if you do get it will be something you will most likely see once in your life

Nothing falling out of the sky here! Are any of those blobs likely to hit east sussex tonight? BTW, I'm 41 but have been feeling like a 12yo for the last two days in all this snow!

With only 2 more runs & 2 more correction expected then it should be good news for the SE corner tomorrow -

As long as 850s stay below -0.5c then will be snow because the lowel levels are a lot colder -

Also snow clearing here - I fancy a shot at -10c

If PPN arrives tomorrow then possible blizzard springs to mind -
