Just been on the phone to my mum who lives in St. Claud, not far from Cognac. She was watching their weather whilst on the phone and the French Met seem to have the low heading north but on a track that will include here in the SE

we live not far from Cognac.....   Sigogne, small world, and it is snowing lightly there too :-)

I don't know if this has been asked before, and apologies if it has, but why are the streams of showers coming off the north sea doing so in such perfectly spaced lines all down the east coast of the country?

Do they interact with each other to create the space between them? It's so frustrating to be in those gaps!

wind blowing from a different direction than forecast.

Snow building on French radar. It all looks further east and has now started its journey north.

Any agree SE Kent could end up with a bit?

No - The sea fetch isn't long enough to really generate convection

That was meant to be the story of today! Showers dying off Ha.

Winds still near due east so showers still pumping downstream. Most models have done a real bad job with this snowfall this evening as they nearly all pushed away any shower activity way to the north of the region.

I need a gem to go NE just slightly

Winds were supposed to become South-Easterly, hence the showers dying off forecast. But the winds stayed E/ENE, so the showers have continued.

Weird thing is a majority of these showers are developing over land and not over sea.

the met must be looking at that radar and wondering weather they need to act on the warnings as none of the models show the precip that far east
