45 here so another 70's child

It was the winters of the 80's that made us winter weather freaks

Anyway who in the South of the Region has NOT had any lying snow from this feline Cat from the East yet ?

Would be interested to know

Something to note is the wind direction is still steering showers just north of east. The GFS this morning had the winds already going well SE/SSE by this point. Hard to say if it means anything at all BUT if it carries on then that may suggest the low is evolving in a different way to what the GFS was expecting which *may* be good news for us, but hard to say without look at pressure obs from France...

Thought I'd pop this in here.. :D

Really interesting as that is very similar to something I just noted, the steering currents are more ENE than the models were expecting at this time, suggesting the low maybe evolving slightly differently than planned at this stage.

Pray HIRLAM is right, 17cms here!

ARPEGE is also pretty similar to the HIRLAM for the home counties. I'm sure MetO will review their warnings for the event tonight/tomorrow morning, will be interesting to see if there's any extension of the amber warning eastwards.

Very strange weather down in France where my wife is at the moment, it is currently snowing near Cognac in SW France, and tomorrow they are forecast to get temperatures of around 14 to 15 degrees!

Still nothing on the ground here, hoping tomorrow is the day. Walked the dog on Butser here and my god it right through me :cold:

Seems like everyone is either 15 or 42..I'm somewhere in the middle, any guesses?

Haha I started an age reveal :D

moderate again here. It’s hard to believe it’s the start of March tomorrow. With the models really struggling who knows what will happen tomorrow, let alone next week.

May not have a foot of snow outside (yet :sorry:) but this is certainly a spell to remember
