I haven’t had a chance to look at models and forecasts today. What’s expected for Kent before the thaw this weekend?

Seems the SE’s snow event for tomorrow and Friday has vanished from Met Office’s weather warnings. :(

Guys.. It looks to me like a bank of cloud of the same type you are going to get will head into Yorkshire tonight.

So basically what i need to know is whether it's actually producing anything given that it looks a bit more stable than the stuff up the far north.

Strange. Just down the road from you in Odiham there was a snowfall of  approx. 2cm yesterday late afternoon. Still a complete layer in the garden - no significant melt.

Not a lot on latest guidance. All aboard the slippery slope to Thawville at the weekend unfortunately. Still, it's been great (for some)

Latest MetO guidance calling for snow from early tomorrow coming up from the south. Still some uncertainty re intensity but should continue all day. 70% of heavy snow in our region with warnings potentially being updated late this evening (main risk south and west of the region in a line up to Dartford, Medway and over to the coast).

Also potential for freezing rain possibly in time for rush hour Friday morning before turning to a mix of snow and sleet.

This again is from my friend who gets detailed products as part of his job. Last three days this has been spot on.

The South East is still under a yellow warning for snow for Thursday and Friday - think they are unsure exactly who is going to be in the firing line.

Thought it was supposed to be blowing a gale out there this afternoon, but it's not!

Wind really picked up for a minute here. Blowing snow off roofs, never seen anything like it.

Took me a second to realise it is actually snowing again here as well. ?

This streamer couldn't have come at a better time of the day, tops up last nights snow and stops the sun getting through and melting what we got laying.:D

Oh i thought it was but wind blowing so much wasnt sure. More coming ?

If the wind stays NE then yes, quite a few showers out there. Wasn't really meant to happen so radar watching... last there updates have the showers move SW. If that stays this way we should see some heavier ones in about an hour or so.

Mid-Kent Streamer activated! Now we just need these shower cells to get a bit heavier!
