Hi all.

Hope y'all having fun in the snow!!

I have a question.  I am quite confused about events for our region Thurs/Fri/Sat.  I live in Brighton but I have my Grandmas funeral to go to in Tunbridge Wells on Friday morning so will be driving from Brighton to T/Wells.

I can't make head nor tail of what's going on!  Whats the current status for Thurs/Fri especially for our region, does anybody know?  I'm wondering if it will be best to head there Thurs or Fri and whether I will be able to get back or not Friday night.

Is it still all up in the air?!

Thanks :)

Hello hello. Are we seeing some home grown convection in Sussex producing showers. LOoks like it. Bonus

Oh really!  Couldn't see anything on the radar.  I thought Brighton is probably ruled out for snow today - could I be wrong?! :D

Strange...last day of meteorological  winter and it looks like the coldest one not just this winter but probably since Dec 2010 in many areas...good old Sudden Stratospheric Warming, be very surprised if we see another for next winter.

I realise I shouldn't take much notice if the forecast but my little snow flakes seem to be lessening for thurs and Friday!

As I've had no snow yet this week it would be nice to have hope!

Bright sunshine, blue skies (Farnham,Surrey)

temp -1.9

Dp -8.7

Feeling a bit sad ?

Every chance for your area tomorrow and Friday as Storm Emma pushes up north and east from the south-west. Still unsure how far north and how far east it gets though. Fingers crossed.

Everything seems to be passing to the north of here, with the dusting from last night melting rapidly.

For my neck of the woods, with the prospects of it turning milder over the weekend, this cold spell gets a mediocre 4/10 and that’s only because of last night’s unusual cold and dusting!

Expected to be mostly to the north and south-east of us today, although there is mention of something this afternoon.

This gives a good indication to see what's coming. Just make sure you have Animation set to On.

Thanks mac ?

Seems to me that tomorrow all the good stuff will be west of us, maybe up to the IOW and westwards from there. But we are in the yellow warning, and me personally am just outside the amber by a few miles.

We both might get lucky tomorrow and Friday. Models have got all scenarios covered, miss the snow, hit us both being just on the edge, we get a good sprinkle, it turns to rain on the coast, and back to snow inland.....have any other possible outcomes been missed?

Such fine margins I'm afraid!!

Is it just wishful thinking for us west/south-west Londoners or is this stream making some progress south-west - even if it's building rather than actually moving that way. A few flakes here but nothing more yet. Right on edge (in more ways than one!).

Heavy snow shower London Bridge.

Absolutely hammering it down in London Bridge. Almost blizzard like. Very rare to see falling snow settling on main London roads with constant traffic.

This is why I love living in the SE in these types of set ups. Although it can be the most frustrating thing if you don't get hit by snow and everyone else does. Generally if its cold enough for long enough and the winds change like they do, anyone is in with a chance of heavy snow without much warning.
