Even though I am not expecting anything, the radar is making me slightly excited.

Hmmm. Let's see how the heavy precip over Rochester fairs over next hour as it edges West. The preceding clump was looking good for a line from Orpington to Caterham, but has hit the M2/ 20/ 25 triangle and seems to be giving up the ghost.

seems we may have some convergence around the Thames, showers moving east around essex and south east over kent.

yep its all converging on the estuary  the south band is trying to go north west and the stuff on east Anglia coast going west south west the bands will join shortly north Kent and south Essex and  Sussex looking good for next hour and a half before we lose the convergence zone.

Should they intensify when they join?

The ppn is building really nicely in the Thames Estuary. Two distinct bands moving West, with London looking like it should get a covering, with things improving run by run.

Yet another late night! :D

Snow is getting heavier here, a decent 6 on the Murr scale

I got laughed in SW thread yesterday when i mentioned the Murr Scale. Good to see others using the famous snow measuring  scale!

in theory yes but western end of southern band currently over Canterbury  might start to weaken in about an hour due to the decreased sea track, wait and see job how much convection we will get from south easterly.

I’m up at this ungodly hour because just got home from work at Heathrow, car thermometer dropped to -7C at one point through Mictham Common in south London, -5C at home.

Great to see the snow bands heading west toward London tonight for a change, thanks to switch to a more Ely flow.
