A good persistance to the snow showers here on the SE coast.Cut off seems to be Brighton.

Points East have a good covering by 830am.

Will post some pix later.

I was just about to drive to Deal from Lee, Se12,but the video of the A2 just convinced me it’s not a good idea even in a 4 x 4. Many thanks for posting it.

I sincerely hope he's not taking the photos then ;-).

Snowing quite heavily here in St Leonards-on-Sea for the last 1/2 hour or so, snow depth now doubled to at least 2cm.

My car was booked in for mot and service this morning, have had to cancel because I cannot get out of my cul-de-sac. Several others have tried already and failed. It's a steep incline on a bend at one point.

My dental appt was at 840 in Battle road, I’ve decided to cancel it’s really bad on the road out here!

I live in a cul=de-sac off the Battle Road and I can't even get out of my Close now. Sensible of you to cancel your appointment, I've just cancelled one as well.

While everyone else enjoys more snow, what's the thoughts on tonight? I think thats it for today for East Kent. I know you shouldn't really trust it but the met office app looks better tonight than last night.

Anyone from Chelmsford? Did you get much? I'm suppose to be heading for a meeting later this morning from here in Boxley ( Maidstone ) which is fairly dodgy on side roads

Nothing on the ground in Chelmsford this morning, KB.

I had a clear run through to the office from Dartford.

(As a novice/lurker I thought my first post could be useful to someone at least!).

This really is the last post, for a while Encouraging signs on recent radar returns, of the flow, starting to turn, to a more favourable direction, for those of us NW, of mid-Kent/E.Sussex. Notice the ppn, on the northern tip of Holland and in Germany, orientate more ENE to WSW, hopefully a good sign for later, for us snow-starved members!! Hopefully that will sink SW towards us, later in the morning!

I think you might cop a few more before midnight after a lull this afternoon

Chucking it down. Looking at the radar we might be in for a bit of a prolonged spell that's heading towards Sittingbourne and Lenham area.

-2.4c here.

So peps woke up to fairly heavy snow.

First lying snow for 5 years so its been a wait. Approx 3-4cm on flat areas.

Met app has me down for 4#5 hrs of heavy snow tonite. Does anyone know where this is coming from or is it a case of shower activity again. If so then thats just pot luck. According to heart radio some places have 15 cm this morning , they must be in the sweetspot..

Temp dropped to -3.2

Currently -1.3. Will we get an ice day ??

Im not confident we will.

Few pics for you guys that wernt so lucky. ( dont give up yet as i think we still have 1 or 2 chances.).
