Morning all,

A nice covering here in Faversham. Not sure of measurements as I haven’t been out with the trusty ruler yet. Woke up at 1 and was not happy to see hardly any snow on the ground. Stayed up til 3 with the baby and still nada. Woke up to the alarm at 5 and we had been blessed ❄️❄️ Hasn’t stopped snowing since. Schools are open but mummy’s called an official snow day. It probably won’t snow for another 5/6/7 years so I’m letting them enjoy it. I’ll spend the day educating them in this mysterious thing they call Snow and the weather. They’ve already gone out with their step dad to Tesco for carrots and coal ? I used all the carrots last night making soup ? OH set off for his yard in Maidstone and they called as he got to the end of the road and said don’t bother.. result! Anyway, Enough of my waffle... I hope everyone either has snow, gets snow and stays safe and enjoys it ☺️

Pics from Faversham this morning...

Yes...the wind charts have been pretty consistent on that for a few days.

Proper lines-of-showers territory. Can only imagine that those who got lucky last night will stay lucky, unless the wind decides to veer more easterly. One of my schools is in Hayward’s Heath and a similar story to Horsham - just a fifteen minute drive from here where we have much less.

On another note, the wife works in Reigate and she has said there’s much more snow in Horley. Frame that one for posterity!

Hmmm, sounds like more fake news (!) I’ll see later! ?

Lovely decent covering just outside Sittingbourne, and coming down hard now in big flakes.

All Sittingbourne secondary schools are closed.

Pic shows the A2 through Sittingbourne this mornibg.

So guys in the no snow zone

Watch that radar today- swing point around mid to late morning when showers 'should' start edging up the thames-

Also end of week getting very interesting !

Well it ain’t going to damage the infrastructure that’s for sure! Tried to post a rather unexciting pic but it’s not having it.

Yep I’m seeing this change too on various different short and medium range radars. A definite change to a more easterly wind direction after lunch and through the afternoon.

Whether or not locations get snow I think it will be very hit or miss.  It’s quite amazing how localised the snow has been over Kent so far.

About 5cm here in Leigh on sea, current showers just passing to the south, suns out with clear blue skies.

Thought it was strange to hear a drip in the night, turned out, wasn’t the snow melting but my rad leaking instead, so a nice pool of water in the kitchen and no heating to start the day.

Winds look to be changing to a more  NE/ENE around lunch time, hopefully we’ll see a few showers for those who have missed out ??

Anyone from Chelmsford? Did you get much? I'm suppose to be heading for a meeting later this morning from here in Boxley ( Maidstone ) which is fairly dodgy on side roads

Just listened to John Kettley being interviewed on LBC, he says snow for London later on today.  So also with Steve’s comment, maybe all not lost yet.
