I may have gone mad from staring at the radar all day but have things turned a little more easterly now?

All I want is a slight cover of snow, but the showers die a death way before they reach here.

I’m glad to see you guys in Essex, Kent and Sussex getting in on the action though.

Same...that heavy blob over Canterbury/Ashford way is only 15'ish miles from us!

Keep the photos coming from the snowy places!

Im looking at motorway webcams and on speed dial to saltwood it seems so odd.

Maybe the snow follows me as ive moved from Lyminge to ashford

Feel very lucky and so excites for my 2 yr old twins to see it all tomorrow

Magic memories like i made as a child.

If it continues like it is here until tomorrow (which it won't) we'll be well and truly buried.

Seems to be a bit of a lull in the showers now; clouds breaking up. Anyone know why there aren't any more showers following on behind the ones just gone? I'm in Medway.

As someone who knows a thing or two about radar, the beams generally look "up" or at least on the horizontal, not down at the ground. So they only see what is falling in the air, and not what is actually hitting the ground. I regularly see people on these forums wondering why a blob is over them on the radar but they're not seeing anything at ground level - this is why.

The most frustrating location of the winter goes to MY LOCATION! Keep seeing all the showers miss me by a couple of miles I even missed the slight covering that the other side of town got! I've had enough of clippers time for a Thames streamer for Once since 2010!!

Looking like a wind shift towards ENE now and radar dying a bit in North Sea/Estuary. Perhaps a lull before convection restores later

Considering it was meant to kick off at 9pm I think it's going the opposite. Showers losing intensity and becoming less widespread.

Was this planned?
