Currently having a very heavy shower, everything has gone white outside, shame there's nothing coming on behind it to carry on the good work

Does this now mean theres a higher chance of seeing a Kent clipper setting up overnight?

Less chance according to that!

Great to hear these fantastic reports from Kent and Sussex.

London crew - don’t give up hope - those decaying showers from East Anglia may deliver us something a little later.

Just coz we are split ( whoever did it ) don’t mean there should be rivalry going on at all ... I don’t class my self in any thread tbh as it’s kinda tits up and most ppl are in limbo ! But shouldn’t we all just be happy for each other if and when we get snow ?

Nope! It's us V them now

HOLY *** that as mental, I could've swore I saw lightning, then it came down at an awesome rate with almost white out conditions. Stopped now but we have about 1-2m

That's got to be a typo of epic proportions surely ?!   :D

So, having had bonus, albeit brief, blizzard like conditions this morning, I'm now sat here patiently waiting for the wind direction to change.

Currently sitting on the edge of the current streamer, watching the showers slip by on the radar... That extra few (well 50 odd) miles of Thames estuary really makes a difference to how long the showers last across land and I want a piece of that action :)

E Anglia isn't doing SE London any favours right, now so hoping that will change soon.

p.s. my other half is getting p'd off with me fixated on this forum and the radar :nonono::yahoo:

Plenty of twigs on the T+00 fax for 18z this evening

Wind seems to be veering more from NE to ENE upstream over the S North Sea and Holland, so hopefully we may see the snow showers currently affecting coastal E Anglia, Kent and E Sussex perhaps shifting a little more inland toward the W in the night.

Inland as well as these areas or has it shifted now? Mid Kent looked prime but guessing it’s not now based on those twigs lol

Well let’s hope those showers in Ipswich and just east of Norwich is a switch of course to begin with, those se of us have already a few cms, tomorrow with a few showers (That melt in sun) won’t cut it.

Just driven from Ringmer up the B2120 to Cross in Hand. Very heavy snow almost all the way. Big flakes, very dense and lovely and dry. Settling on the road such that by the time we got past Blackboys there was about 3 - 4 cm's on the road. For about 10 minutes it was one of the heaviest, most intense snowfalls I've seen and that's coming from someone who worked 8 seasons as a ski instructor. It's almost stopped now but looks like I'm about to go under another intense blob. This is looking very promising indeed. Temperature was -4 throughout and there's absolutely no issue about it settling on the roads.

Take care if you're out driving, I've got some of the best winter tyres on the market on my car and even with them there's not a huge amount of grip. Biggest issue tonight though was the visibility, there were moments when the snow was so intense it was quite hard to see much more than a car length ahead.

Enjoy, hope everyone gets to share in the fun. :-)
