Plenty of twigs on the T+00 fax for 18z this evening

Wind seems to be veering more from NE to ENE upstream over the S North Sea and Holland, so hopefully we may see the snow showers currently affecting coastal E Anglia, Kent and E Sussex perhaps shifting a little more inland toward the W in the night.

Though it’s been snowing quite a bit tonight it’s now really heavy big flakes for first time tonight.

If the wind veers more easterly would that help us far south east Kent folk out? The showers die a death as soon as they hit land in the middle between the north Kent streamer and the channel streamer

Hoping those showers will start heading our way soon! The ones between West Malling and Orpington look promising on the current wind .... Fingers crossed...

Really pleased for those that are getting the snow and hope it continues but it is agonising that the those showers are about 3-5 miles East of me.The snowshield  of Locksbottom is still in operation lol!!

I'm happy, I've got a white footpath, wasn't even expecting that, don't think I will manage white grass though?

If that verifies, that'll bring more people into the frame. The latest Fax chart that is!

Just had a little dusting in Ramsgate, it' not like proper snow though, it's like tiny little balls, not hail but tiny snow balls. Blows around like when you break up polystyrene packing. If that makes any sense?

Hoping for decent snow and staying positive. Really bigged this one up to my kids and family and I never do that, I'm very cautious, hope I don't end up look silly ?

Hi Nick,

Yes, looks like we have a fair shout, of a Thames streamer, during the overnight period.

Regards,

Tom.

Does this now mean theres a higher chance of seeing a Kent clipper setting up overnight?

A gust of wind just blew some of the snow back up into the air.

I'm not having that!

Why can't we have a constant stream of snow showers, stop start stop start. Last time it stopped it stopped for HOURS!

Nothing to really report down here.

Getting jealous.

Same...that heavy blob over Canterbury/Ashford way is only 15'ish miles from us!

Keep the photos coming from the snowy places!

New Barn, NW Kent:

Had a decent couple of showers here & have a covering, but a lot of the heavier stuff is missing me.

Does anyone know if & when the wind will swing more easterly?

Yep I apologise. Misunderstood. Didn’t realise the local rivalry going on! Enjoy your snow. I’ll crawl back to the mod and SW thread suitably chastened...

Just coz we are split ( whoever did it ) don’t mean there should be rivalry going on at all ... I don’t class my self in any thread tbh as it’s kinda tits up and most ppl are in limbo ! But shouldn’t we all just be happy for each other if and when we get snow ?
