Currently dry. But well within the extended amber zone. That warning is from 2:00am to midday. Nick Sussex is correct, weather doesn't follow warnings but a late extension west of that should inspire some confidence. Reigate and Gatwick two very different locations topographically though!

Anyway, here's the link to Gatwick TAF, currently forecasting 40% heavy snow showers 21:00 this evening to 12:00 Tuesday. Was very accurate through the day today:

And it's started snowing now, light but settling without hesitation.

I think we are all just hoping that this will explode and we get huge convection over us that takes everyone by surprise.

Thats what really made the main events for 2009 & 10 so exciting

Yep, a bit further West, not far from here ?

Feel like you don't belong in here or the SW thread too then? I've settled here though as it's more optimistic!

Sferic off Kent - thundersnow.

god now I'm super jealous :nonono:, always wanted to experience thunder snow...

Been checking the radar on and off, an all day long I seem to be In this mystical snow free very narrow corridor that the snow showers skirt around to the north and the south, Its getting kind of tiring.

On a more positive note, (for those moaning about people moaning :blink2:) my lamp post has decided to work again.  Small mercies and all that
