for anyone worrying and looking at the radar thinking this is not going to happen, as @Steve Murr has pointed out, the convergence doesnt happen til around 9, the main event is due to start around midnight and the amber warning is from 2am until 12 tomorrow.

I’m happy already with the cm I’ve got. Great starter. The main meal should be awesome based on this ?❄️?

I’m directly north of you.

We may see something from the development around the wash.

That would be nice! ?

Gosh. It hasn't been snowing for very long in Tunbridge Wells but because it is so powdery and everywhere is so cold and dry it is settling on everything. If this goes on - and this is the 'light snow' phase the MetO forecast at this point - we will definitely have at least 4-5cms by morning.

Just a dusting in Lyminge, currently -3C. But it's the snow type! Ok, I spent up until the turn of the century in Torbay so wasn't really conducive for snow but I've never seen snow like this before! It just puffs away if you blow it, looks artificial almost, out of a can.

I guess this is powder snow but in all my 50 odd years it's a first for me!

Lot's of concern it seems because what was forecast to happen has happened...:cc_confused:

  • Has it got cold enough that any PPN falls as snow....tick
  • Are we seeing lumps of snow rather than frontal snow..tick
  • Is most of the PPN lasting across all counties already...unexpected tick

This means some areas will get lots, some won't. No apps can pick it up because they are so small it's effectively random. However the more there are the more chance we all get some over time. Just need patience.

Have you thought about changing your name to ticktabs only joking. I reallyhope you guy's get some snow  5years without snow that's  pretty grim

That awkward moment when you realise that all the time you've been looking at the lampost you've actually been staring right into someone's front room - into people's faces -  and only just realised, and you have to act out a whole scenario, pretending you're waiting for someone to arrive at your ouse so they don't think you're some weirdo ...I mean we've all been there I'm sure

Think the snow showers will fade, they are getting lighter. The air is so dry. the light dusting will evaporate by morning. Bar still High 1020. Temp here in Seaford -2c.

Good Health. Take care on the roads.

I do wonder what the neighbours think when I'm constantly opening and closing the curtains

Blimey leave the radar for half an hour to prepare dinner and when I come back it has sparked into life to my NE. Hopefully the showers won't fizzle out before they arrive!
