just looked at the met site and we in thanet have a heavy snow symbol at midnight tonight ( eighty percent chance) and then again tomorrow evening at 9pm :yahoo:

The forecast has said midnight until mid day tomorrow for the last few days, not really sure why everyone is so down!

Clear sky here in Crawley atm though.

Here's our amber warning, my highlights:

Between 02:00 Tue 27th and 12:00 Tue 27th

Snow showers or longer periods of snow are expected on Tuesday, accompanied by very low temperatures. This is an update to extend the warning further north into coastal Suffolk and a little further west across across southeast England. There is the likelihood of travel delays on roads, with some stranded vehicles and passengers, as well as delays or cancellations to rail and air travel. Some rural communities could become cut off. Power cuts may also occur and other services, such as mobile phones, may be affected.

Not sure I totally understand that chart - will snow hit London?

Convergence zones creates snow. Where’s it’s orange is the strongest so if youre SW of that you’ll likely get some nice snow showers

Sorry to come into this thread but I assume NW London is also SW of that orange zone

Recently awoke, from my late afternoon nap, to the wonderful smell of my wife cooking. pasta and meatballs!! Ah, the unmistakeable smell of passata, basil and garlic. Colette's a wonderful cook, and it certainly helps when your husband's, half-Italian, and you certainly have to be able, to cook that dish!!:air_kiss:

Have just been watching a Sky reporter standing in heavy snow, at Colchester station. Are we still on for a Thames Streamer?

Just going to catch up with the latest model runs and all your latest reports.

Regards,

Tom. :hi:

It depends how far inland they go. Currently NW London is out of the met office amber warning but you never know

"The app shows snow YAYYY"

"Oh it's showing sleet. What a rubbish cold spell this is"

"ITS BACK TO SNOW"

"Now it's rain, I give up"

"SNOW AGAIN YAY"

It does get rather tiring..

Sorry,  guilty as charged

An IMBY post here - anyone in Medway area looks like we might be getting that snow heading out way on the radar. Maybe within 30 mins

@Steve Murr as I’m smack bang in the middle of the convergence how much snow should I expect and when does the convergence line move away from my area??

should get a good few cm depending if they hold together - although sometimes they die & then come back to life over the downs etc

Snowing quite heavy in my part of Ashford, cars and road already covered.

Yep... seems like a nice Kent streamer set up. Wasn't expecting that!

That is a screen grab of the radar not an app.  That screen shot shows where the snow should be.  But if it is light sometimes the radar can say it' snowing but at ground level it won' be

Thank you.
