Seems to be snowing to the east, west and south of me. Haha. Can't complain, such is the nature of showers.

Fingers crossed for tonight.

Wainscott, Medway.

"The app shows snow YAYYY"

"Oh it's showing sleet. What a rubbish cold spell this is"

"ITS BACK TO SNOW"

"Now it's rain, I give up"

"SNOW AGAIN YAY"

It does get rather tiring..

Completely and utterly agree.

People need to stop taking the apps so seriously, they're next to useless in showery situations because the GFS is next to useless in these situations. But alas, we're in that age where an app on a phone showing something must be fact.

My apps constantly change, take no notice of at all

Also, remember the fact that we were never expecting this today anyhow..it’s been a nice surprise. I don’t mind what happens next...onwards and upwards, may wake up to another surprise tomorrow :yahoo:

yes but the sparkling whites seem to be doing really well

Off topic (sorry) but we were at a Denbies tasting session last year, and they were talking about the UK sparkling wine industry.

The lady taking the tour mentioned we can’t call it Champagne (obvs) so my Dad asked if they had a name in mind - and the lady said “No”,

to which my Dad responded:

”Why don’t you call it ‘Brolly’?”

IMO I would LOVE if they called it Brolly ?

I hate those bloody apps! The fact they change every 5 minutes should show people how inaccurate they are.

That precip near Walton should run straight down the Coast, lets hope the Colder Uppers can deliver some nice colours in those radar returns, the showers today have been very weak

Actually come to think of it, I don’t think I’ve checked an app recently, regarding this week. I’d much rather rely on the very clever people in my phone. They make more sense!

Medway Snow Shield in full effect.  Looks like nothing for at least 3 hrs, yet plenty either side. :(

how are these apps (I don't use them just going off ya screen shots) or what ever they are showing snow in my area (Romney Marsh) but there isn't any snow actually falling? I don't get it?

I reckon Wednesday would be the best opportunity for showers to feed west along the M4 corridor for the snow starved Home Counties with a more Easterly wind.

My family take them as gospel. I’ve tried until blue in the face to explain their flaws but it makes no difference!

That is a screen grab of the radar not an app.  That screen shot shows where the snow should be.  But if it is light sometimes the radar can say it' snowing but at ground level it won' be

IMO with this type of set up (isolated heavy snow showers passing over the region all day) you may as well ignore any forecast weather maps as they just can’t be accurate where precipitation may be. I hope the met office haven’t gone too big too early and are proved right but having my doubts.

If any of you do trust any apps what’s the one weather forecaster you do tend to swing towards.

I was just in Ashford Kent and is was lightly snowing

According to apps even Met Office app I was dry as bone but I had MANY powdery snow showers each deposited a dusting. The apps are my pet peeve.
