I’m in the 8cm area. Will take that.

8cm? I can only see 5cm as a max on that ARPEGE chart, but you are welcome to an extra few cm's mate :D

Probably way off anyway

I saw it but for us (Singleton / Chart Fields) I expect that will scoot a little too far north don't you think?

Nope not according to MetDesk radar. We are in the bottom third of the band.

Why? is it because we are not going to get any lol

Because we are going to get hammered! Just got off the phone. Might well see a red later tonight for most of Kent over to Sussex.

I think it's a good call - the angle of the precipitation looks a little too acute (compare with MO amber warning).

Hello All.

Long term reader from Borough Green (Near Sevenoaks)

Just seen update forecast discussion on metcheck and they didn't seem to think anything was coming till the morning? (due to NE Winds and more E wind is needed to push inland?) I'm not an expert by any means so seeing different on here confuses me? Any help advice always appreciated :)

Good to see corrections south of Friday’s low, but before I put the bunting up, I would like to see the Met Office drop any mention of temperatures possibly returning to normal in the south. I know they say there’s a ‘chance’, so nothing certain, but would be better for it to disappear altogether on future updates:

We'd have taken that on Sunday though, no? Increases potential for snow this weekend and decreases the risk of a snow to cold rain event - albeit, with the thermal gradient further away, less chance of blizzards Friday, which is what Mr Murr was referring to earlier.

Which I know you know, by the way!

BBC Weather App now showing Sleet for Tuesday and Wedensday in my area (Shoreditch, East London). Surely can't be right?

I've deleted my BBC weather app - saying nothing all week even with meto warnings over 3 days and snow falling from the sky today!

Mini fist-pump.

Hopefully is can expand a little bit north and west to include as many members as possible!

I am just on the westernmost edge of the warning area!

0.4C and cloudy.

Heavier cells starting to develop out in the North Sea now showing the increased instability. I think between now and about 11pm we'll start to see things picking up with heavy snow becoming more widespread.

It's all scattered showers at the moment, no real streamer development until later on.

Good location- but the estuary cant make its mind up if it wants to help us or not

The PPN is moving SW at the moment- condusive to a mid kent streamer not a thames streamer - but minimal build at the mouth of the estuary- so its a waiting game ATM...

Seem to have a 10 mile streamer type thing going on through here at the moment. Wasn't really expecting that.
