I wouldn't worry too much about who's in the zone for Friday or not just yet, we have a big event to get through first and by Friday you might be hoping not to be in the zone for a good dumping of snow

Let's not lose focus on what's right under our noses.

Quite a localised event for Kent and Sussex. The majority of us might see very little snow before Friday.

The GEM precip charts are juicy.. Friday sees a lot of snow over a vast area of the country.

Possibly some snow but looking less marginal as the warm uppers dont make it -

Are you currently in Eltham, Steve? If so what's it like over there snow wise? I'm in central London and struggling to get a decent enough update from the OH! Thanks.

Light dusting of snow in Seaford from flurries of dandruff snow. Temp 0C. Did reach 1C. The Bar is 1021. So small surprise the amounts are dry and small. Its too cold to snow.

Good Health take care on the roads it will Ice up. Trains finishing at Six.

:(

Looks like wind changed.

Where I was looking forward to 80% chance of heavy snow at 8pm, has just downgraded to 40% chance of a light snow shower.

Ah well.   Lots to do tomorrow and at least I wont waste my evening watching lamp posts!

Good to see corrections south of Friday’s low, but before I put the bunting up, I would like to see the Met Office drop any mention of temperatures possibly returning to normal in the south. I know they say there’s a ‘chance’, so nothing certain, but would be better for it to disappear altogether on future updates:

if the latest models are correct than even the meto have got it wrong for end of week, big blocking highs over Siberian wasteland don't just get pushed away like the models want ,obviously archived events are not programmed into any model ,now the low enters the reliable time frame expect the actual track to be hitting the sw before retreating south or running along the channel,or not making it ,those are the most favoured options
