I think I need an more northerly component to the showers to get them to my location the streamer looks like it might just be too far north ;( ;(

Clouding over again here in Ashford. I was surprised we received the amount we did this morning considering nothing was due to arrive until 4pm onwards

Just reading in the mod thread that we may not get snow from the low fri/Sat but up o 8 in could fall up north.  Why do they always steal our snow?

I was under the impression that it was tracking further south! I hope we don't miss out on that one!

Frustratingly close though, so as you say a small change of wind direction could make all the difference.

They do say tonight will be an t better for us in Kent/Sussex I mentioned earlier that I think I’ve never seen snow really lay thick  during the day just mainly at night so here’s hoping.

Cracks me up, we spend most days from November on this site every year hoping exactly for this chance!  One person gets a bit negative and its like lemmings.... 

Come on.... keep up the positivity, the run up is the exciting bit?  

I'll let you be fed up at the end of the week if it didn't happed for you (or me)...

Have noticed over the last half hour that the showers are now forming bands rather than a straight line. Hopefully theses bands can become heavier so they then give everyone a good covering

Just looked at 4 different radars for the south east and they are all different. Netweather shows almost total light snow.....we have blue skies and sunshine overhead. 

Accuweather shows a couple of rain Showers ( yes Rain )

weather Radar looks about right, but shows rain shower over St Albans atm.

Rain today ......looks a mess and crashes when you zoom in. 

Who to believe?

Met office seem to have been the most accurate to date. If only their 3-5 day forecast matched their now casting.

Temp 1.1c. DP -5.2c

Definitely no rain here, only light snow which settled.

Might be worth remembering that the GFS is very progressive and the 06z is the most progressive of all of them, so friday / saturday all to play for i rekon, as long as the MET keep on board I'm happy

Their 8 inches is from a different system
