I know people are looking towards the Dutch Coast.........................But

Most of the showers from Streamers form within 50-70 miles of the East Coast in Streamer Set Ups, its only really general troughs or more prolonged areas of snow that move from the Dutch Coast and continue onwards to our locales

I'd imagine if their own model stands firm with regard to snow on Thursday into Friday then they'd add a warning at some point tomorrow?

They are very cautious when it comes to warnings, tommorow, latest Tuesday morning they will place warnings, they have placed warnings for Thursday eve/ For the dw, our region will be more likely to be affected early Friday through to midday, so just outside there time range, plus they have a lot of warnings and weather to focus on for the coming days that could need adjustments, and very possibly red warnings if it comes to it, not taking the mick, things could pop up, that could fit the criteria

?? What ??

It's a radar, nothing to do with GFS long range or any kind of range . . .

It’s the 24 hour prediction on that link mate. Live and three hours (+3 uur) based on live is white.

Yes born and bred islander, rarely do we get high chances of snow! Anyway this will be due to the colder uppers edging  there way in now, bringing convective and more unstable airflow, game is on now, busy week ahead, isn’t it chilly outside now, crystal clear sky’s now though, have a look.

Yeah I went in my kitchen with no loght on and the moon is so bright. I am down the point end of the island been here nearly 2 years my boy goes to school off the island so I doubt I will risk it tomorrow as it is I have to go work 4pm over burnt mills area.

I just lurk as no weather expert and didnt need to post as literally round corner to Paul Sherman - however moved to Rayleigh now so those 4ish miles are going to make all the difference. I'll have to get my own tape measure out now.

Whilst a few pronounced troughs are being forecast, in this type of setup, flash features can also occur at very short notice. Winter of 2009/10 I believe had one that was completely unforecasted pass over me and on into Leicestershire. There'll be small surprises for many coming up over the next 72 hours

Yes and the link earlier was +24 hours, e.g. precip showing in orange.

Used to live right there, it was a pleasant area.

:) yeah it's nice, only trouble is that I'm at the elevated end which is nice for views east and west, but it's a bugger driving down the hill when there's ice and snow about . . .
