Boom for Kent, yes!

Not boom for the rest of us.

Yes that is the sort of streamer that I was talking about yesterday, most of London to the west of central London is unfortunately missed out on that though, not a Kent clipper or a Thames streamer that one, something in the middle. But there will be all sorts of things going on in the next week, changes in wind direction, most of us should see something.:)

I'm supposed to be driving up to Birmingham after work on Friday, I don't think that's going to be happening.

oh well, i shall keep you all company till about 10pm, while we all wish together.

You cannot leave your position. You are in Gt Yarmouth, can't get much further East than you. You are responsible for alerting us when the showers first hit land..lol ?

after seeing that convergence line I'm rather worried about getting to Canterbury for my monthly transfusion. Looks like I'll have to cancel and make an asap appointment next week or something.

If you look at the actual radar as opposed to 3+ hours, these showers are more E to W then NE to SW. I expect these will reach no lower than Essex/Herts areas. Shame as I am in Hastings!

I wish that would head towards Great Chart but suspect more northerly drift.

This is going to sound a bit sad but don’t forget to look after the frogs in your pond. Many of them hibernate in the silt at the bottom and breathe through their skin ?

if it freezes over for too long the oxygen runs out so make sure there is always a small hole ?

For this region, it does look likely we will see a Thames streamer develop, but in the opposite part of the region across Cambridgeshire and perhaps Hertfordshire it looks like the band of snow moving through on Tuesday could very well catch the NW corner of our region, both of these could deliver large ammounts of snow.

Also on Wednesday there will be a trough moving west from the north sea, this could again bring some more prolonged snow, more particularly in the north of the region. The Kent streamer will continue until late Wednesday.

Lovely fax charts - if the streamer is strong enough then down the line here is west sussex we can still get a fair dumping. I Remember in Feb 2009 even Brighton did well off a streamer following that SSW and this is a lot colder!

I would advise the residents of Saffron Walden to set their hoovers to maximum suction.

On a serious note, the track on that wave will change even at this range, it could come further south or north so fingers crossed is all I can say.

PMSL, that`s it :D
