The guy I am speaking with is only really talking about what depths to expect - nothing marginal about it, not my thoughts and obviously from data we are not privvy to mate

I think whilst there is a clear risk of changing back, we would be REALLY unlucky if we were not to get decent snow beforehand (the 12z GFS is just about the only solution that could happen with) and if we do get snow it will settle as well, so in theory could easily see 5-10cms even if it does change back and that will still cause travel issues.

Given that most places will get a couple of centimetres over the coming days then I think no one will be overly disappointed this time around. At the moment it looks like areas with 20 of the coast in general along with areas close to favourable spots for streamers.

Wash/Thames look the best  to supply streamers but many locations with a shout of decent totals for snow and these charts will not be that accurate either.

Wait a minute.

Is that a speck of Orange around Folkestone and Hawkinge?

Surely not...

Edit: Its not, on second looks, but looks more of the dirty green.

Interesting.

Can't see Beds,Herts and Bucks doing very well in this. Too far west imho. Seem to be just on the edge of any warnings. Need showers to push well inland and not die out. Beds and Bucks never get in on a streamer IRC. Loved to be proved wrong.

Was exactly the same in Feb 2009 and the northern Home Counties got buried.

conditions from Monday night look similar

I was also studying that :D it looks like the 6cm colouring? I'd take that as a starter!

Just teasing  Paul - the way you posted it was so definitive as if it couldn’t change between now and then

I know, I am still a bit baffled as to how certain they are ??

Although they are stating this will be more of a SW England and Central Southern Event
