Attempted to go to work got stuck in a small drift, top of road worse than ever as snow has blown off fields over night.

What's that coming from the south coast? Was it forecast?

Rain. Temps will mix out now. We're on course for a warm up. Will it be temporary? You decide.

Comments like, "will it rain in Cardiff", are banned. :girl_devil::search:

Welcome to Siberia, that's what it feels like out there!

strong wind, grey skies, deep snow, drifting snow. Quite amazing really :0

going to attempt to dig out my car and head of to work at 730. Should be fun :)

wouldnt be surprised to see even more snow for a time today reading reports and looking at the radar.

I'm not going to try here, the drifts are huge blocking my car.

Lol. Would you say rain for here soon mate? Still below freezing so not sure.

I think the batch heading in will be rain for lower elevations in the north of our region and South Wales, but snow most likely with decent elevation. I.e above at least 200m. It’s will be cold at the surface because of all the snow. My snowmhas survived, but it’s slushy now ?

Just been out to investigate. My car is no longer frozen, there is still quite a lot of ice laying on the snow but the snow underneath is melting and the freezing rain ice is just falling to the ground still frozen.

Rain and a slow thaw here in Broadmayne temp 2.5c. Snow still has an icy crust but its melting beneath it leading to some interesting shapes on things like flower pots garden furniture etc.

It's shot up to a positively balmy 2.7 degrees here with a few point of 2.4. Nope. I did miss the minus symbol off.

Temps rose to 2-3c late last night and have been sat there since then. See graphs in the link to my station  in my sig below.

Gradual thaw has now set in. Going shopping shortly, assuming Castlepoint is open.....

A slow thaw has started here in Reading, looks likely to accelerate during the day. The snow wasn't particularly heavy here, just light to moderate and persistent over two days with an eventual maximum depth of 5cm yesterday evening. Calm and misty out there now with the temperature currently at 1.7˚C.
