Met Office forecast woefully out this morning, delayed snow risk til Midday and yet it's been snowing steadily since 7am....

I think this bonus snow has caught everyone by surprise.

Snow is definitely lighter and finer now. I'm hoping this isn't it, but if it has to be, then it's been alright i suppose!

Amber warning area has just been shrunk, I'm barely on the edge of it now!

Time will tell if they got that right....

The upper warm front has already cleared the Channel Islands and north west France.

The dew points behind this front are still well below freezing. :santa-emoji:

Current Met Office modifications to the warnings, of what looks like to shift the amber warning to a later start period at 2pm.

Is the only potential fly in the ointment that for coastal areas that we could we see freezing rain rather than snow?

PS very dark here, still moderate snow.

My parents have just got off the ferry at St Malo, it’s -7 and snowing. I’ve told them to let me know when/if temp rises. They are heading to our house in Southern Britanny near Lorient. ?
