How are my often forgotten sw coldies doing? :)

Remember folks this snow now isn’t in relation to the main low ! :cold-emoji:

All good here Nick, freezing cold light snow starter, looking forward to main course later.

The fax chart is quite unbelievable , literally the fronts stall close to the south coast . There’s literally no movement in 12 hrs!

Will there be much of a ‘gap’ between the snow now and the main snow later? Wondering if the low will be moving faster than the snow we have now.

Light snow for past hour, pepping up now, 1 cm cover and beautiful. Local schools closed. “Snowman-able” hopefully by lunch if it keeps snowing!!

The current snow is a bonus . It’s off a front moving nw, the main snow doesn’t arrive till later.

Its an upper warm front which heads nw and then west , the next front associated with the main low arrives this afternoon and evening .

This could be our generations 1978. We are thrilled! Think the m4 barrier will reversed and stop snow heading north!!! Lol

Wow, for only the second time ever (the first being 2010) I've got snow being blown about in a strong gusts. It's mesmerising! :shok:

Large flakes but not many of them now.

I don't think I'm going to get much done today... Shame it's too early for gin. :ninja:

Before people worry about this upper warm front , it’s not changing the air mass in front of the main low.

And snowing in Taunton , horizontally ! But hey it's snowing . I did have my doubts I have to say . My little weather station says it's -4.4 and predicts further snow .

Are you going in to your place of work dec'10? I'mnot working o a Thursday at the Moment  so will be at home , however tomorrow could be fun if this lot sticks and settles .

The flakes are huge here right now, and winds definitely picking up, can't even imagine what it is going to be like with heavier snow later.
