Four hours and 3" of snow in the far east of the region last night - caught the sweet spot of a Thames streamer. It has been snowing moderately this morning for an hour or so. Blowing around, drifting and scouring in the wind. A brilliant period and more to come.

blowing snow here, probably have a couple cm in the garden already. Looking at the radar i (in andover) appear to be between two heavier bursts typically.

I’m surprised that’s all. You must’ve been literally a mile or two north of that streamer last night.

I know, it's mad snow wasn't due until later here but it's coming down nicely.

Which model to believe!! ARGEPE has 4 inches or more for everyone by tomorrow morning - EURO4 looks a little poor for Hampshire. Good luck all!!

After being trolled by almost every streamer and blob going, I now have snow! :yahoo:

Thin layer getting going.

Finally :yahoo:

Yes that wasn’t fun as I know too well from the last few days.

Look, this snow now is bonus snow if you have it! Light snow on and off all day across the region, then the main course later

So can you please stop the frankly wrong  posts of non event, it’s if nothing else pessimistic, but actually dangerous if people look in here see a post and head out!

Exactly. This is the prawn cocktail starter before (hopefully) the main. Need a bit of lady luck down here on the coast to stay the right side of the temps.

Still very light snow here, not really enough yet to lay a good covering.

Liking the radar from Bay of Biscay heading our way.

Oddly, some daffs this morning have decide to show themselves, they will be in for a shock later;

Only just woke up and not one heavy snow symbol on my MetO app.

Radar doesn't fill me with confidence for the West Country.
