So @Mapantz gets normal rain and you get freezing rain? Must be the slightest difference between you.

Bizarre scenes in Exeter, a thick layer of solid ice on top of the old powder snow and now another thin covering of powder snow on top of the ice!

Its all pretty marginal now, the brighter echo's on the radar will produce snow , sleet or light rain otherwise, quite standard fair now peeps, yesterday was special.... .

I wouldn't call freezing rain standard uk weather, it's very rare apparently, well until yesterday lol

Hello everyone. Just been out sledging with my children for the second time today and, although there's nothing showing on the radar, it's started snowing very tiny flakes near Holsworthy

Can't make up its mind, felt like drizzle when I was defrosting the copper pipe outside .

Dont ant anymore snow thank you. Had enough now . I suppose it will all freeze again tonight, though on the met office app it showed a rise to all of 1   C after mindnight.

Cant get over the sheets of ice either . Amazing .

The low pressure that has collided with the Siberian air mass and given us these blizzards was named Emma by the Portuguese.

Agree! I think we can assume this cold weather event is/has been exceptional. Plenty of freezing rain has been around from last night into today. Documented, photographed and backed up on radar.

Whiteout here - pretty much the best we did this whole week. Added over 5cm in 3 hours.

The best snow event for many a year here.

Spring 2018, you will be forever remembered.
