That’s encouraging

Proper snow to boot, big flakes, not ice pellets or wet stuff.  Wonder if it'll transition back to rain/sleet/ice pellets of this morning - it must be a very mixed bag of upper air temps.

Coming down moderately again some thicker flakes, I am right on the southern boundary of this lot going through south midlands and Wales.

I really don't want anymore freezing rain. It's too scary. If we aren't going to get anymore snow I want a rapid thaw now.

Sorry to sound gloomy but the freezing rain really is lethal.

That's true and I agree but it's a dementia care home and none of us, whatever job we do there will want to stay home if it's at all possible to get to work. At least three members of staff stayed on site for 30 hours covering those who could not get in. Im glad i made it and would do the same tomorrow if I had to

Yes, I understand that, and everybody thanks you for your's and your colleagues efforts. However, there must be some parameters and systems in place that protect you as a worker (what if your children were home from school on top?) and ensure there is enough resident staff to satisfy the safety and care of patients. It can be done in NHS Hospitals effectively - even the Army will help out. Perhaps that would be an avenue for your employers to tap into.

So @Mapantz gets normal rain and you get freezing rain? Must be the slightest difference between you.

The ppn is developing in Lyme Bay albeit a little later than forecast, it's luck for some now if it is snow or rain........ .
