Yeah you're right actually. It did show the entire region but appears to be just the east.

Perhaps we give it an hour and see if the extra energy filters through, seems to be starting to pep up all along just abit further north than I expected.

I think it's been incredible. @wiltshire weather has been impressed too, from the posts that I've seen.

Snowing again in Gosport. Temps have dropped back below freezing within the last hour. Currently -0.4C but drops to -0.5C occasionally. Seems like there's a battle going on between warm and cold air. There's a lot of black ice in our road yet the neighbours have been brave enough to drive on it. I went to get the paper earlier and as I tried to turn the corner slid sideways towards the drop kerb. It was like being stood on a travelator.

Temp dropped back down to -0.3°C now. I may break my temperature range record today, as long as it doesn't get above 0.1°C

Looking good for a 3rd ice day for us in the Cotswolds. Uppers at least 0C so we should be good for snow out of the next helping.

Temp -1C  Humidity 83%  Dewpoint -4C   Pressure 991.8

Some heavier snow here in Southampton as well at the moment, impressive how the band of precipitation intensified as soon as it hit land.

It’s probably a redwing.  Seen several today.  Winter visitors from Scandinavia.

Can confirm 4 Redwings in our garden today, never had them before.

Calling all bird fans..a question.....feeding the birds has seen all the usual suspects, you know Robins,Tits,Albatross,Golden Eagles occasional Condors, but heres the thing,it looks like a Thrush, same size, slightly darker chest with spots its got me a bit baffled any clues, then I can look up any info and check it out.

Has it got a red streak down the side?  Red wing possibly, seen some in exeter this morning and that only ever happens when it snows.  Field fare is another option.
