Might get a tad closer to your 78 expectations after today BB. Even though the radar looks patchy, the MetO and BBC seem confident that we'll see further snow later today. (The graphics show snow over us for a good 6-8 hours so who knows)

What time is it predicted?

Meant to be going over to my old haunt of Hanham to meet friends for a few bevvies this after. Anyone in Bristol know if buses are running?

The BBC graphics show snow starting around 12-1pm and clearing away around 8-9pm

Thanks for that, can see the affect of colder 850’s now starting to see snow / ice pellet mix.

A few pics of the freezing rain here, these actually from about an hour ago now. Light freezing rain continuing (with a few ice pellets too) since then.

Can't help but imagine if it as all snow (still impressive though!), some strong wind gusts and bushes making a strange icy sound (think my anemometer is under-reading due to the ice).
I'd better get out and make the most of it, heavy rain forecast tonight and tomorrow (temp +4 and +5c) :(

Looking at the layer of ice on the car and the top of the snow is frozen it looks like we had some freezing rain last night, the snow is no longer drifting in the wind.

So are we talking of another cool down later so we could see some snow a bit later?

Turned to ice pellets here now. Looking at the radar, it's probably going to end just before it would otherwise turn to snow lol

I know, typical right :wallbash:
