I'm happy to wait for the milder uppers to retreat. Might not make it here anyway.

Goodnight everyone I'm throwing in towel. What a night to remember! Makes all of the obsessive behaviour worth it to get a glimpse of what a true blizzard is like. Every time we get a big storm I always think "what if this was snow" well now I now!

Rain here, normal rain this time rather than freezing. Not sure it'll melt the snow much if at all since it's under a layer of ice from the freezing rain earlier. Hopefully this rain won't last too long like this though.

It looks like its dieing alot...

It's going to cut across East to West, hopefully. Patience will be rewarded. Get that easterly flow back.

Definetely a wintry mix here in Cardiff, ice pellets mixed in with snowflakes, very bizzare seeing to be honest! Hopefully these uppers return back to negative which will give way to the 50p flakes were all use to

Tonight is the night I accepted my life is a parody. I am in the Truman show. The heaviest snowfall in the south west ever and I am sat here in north Devon where patchy snow doesn't cover the pavements. Everywhere to the north south east and west are recording 30cm snowfalls. In Cumbria where I live major snowfalls have narrowly missed me by a mater of miles. I feel physically sick, wondering how on earth, snow just seems to avoid me. FML. Had enough.

Ireland is getting smattered right now.

And there's a quasi-stationary snow blob over Cardiff. ..........................................8)

Weird that radar is showing something over Cardiff but nothing much falling out of the sky - and whatever is falling is ice pellets not snow

Power keeps going off for a split second, causing havoc with everything electrical so turned wall sockets off. Street lights which are left on all night around here are all off too.

Sound if the wind keeping me awake, blowing a gale out there

Can’t believe how bad this ice is surprised my powers still on. Must be nearly a good 20mm on top of all the snow

Up and down hills too. Not going to lie, I'm very intimidated by this!

I don't think people should be walking around on their own in this.

Just look at the snow shield in the west! Bends around the UK like it's been carved by the gods of nature!
