Yep. It's a strange one. It's not making the 'ice' sound on the windows anymore, and the snow on the roof is getting washed away.

It's a sod as well, as I like to keep rainfall records as accurate as possible, and i'm not recording anything because the gauge is full of frozen snow.

Hope we don't get rain and it ends up washing all the snow away!

F

Looks good for you guys in Bristol tomorrow afternoon, with the caveat its all highly uncertain at the moment. Thats what they just said on the bbc anyway, pinch of salt with that I guess. Better see what Met office say in morning, who have handled this situation with great accuracy. Guess another day of radar watching more reliable than any forecast.

yeah - think it looks like a Brucie Bonus. Could edge too west for me, though. I think the low flattens and fronts will pivot back over later tomoz.

Exactly re the low flattening out. The stuff in the channel looks like its generally moving in the direction my Dads Army style creation is showing:

Freezing rain here but the met app has it turning back to snow in the next hour.. if its raining where you are stick your head out of the window and you should hear (when the wind drops) a distinctive tinging noise as the rain drops hit the surface.

Still a tad worried it might become sleety here would rather have it pivot more so we bring back down the colder air sooner!

Freezing rain here in Exeter as well- shame, as we'd done a good job of bagging the snow and dodging the non-snow precipitation so far.

Personally I think those heavy radar returns herald the kiss of death going forwards for this latitude of the country in this timeframe. Managed to stay literally just east of them all day and had powder snow. Send them West!

Only thing that worries me is that it’s coming in at a time where it’s more marginal here

It is BB its why i was asking is that the second low due for tomorrow? But apparently its a nice surprise

Although it might not be such a nice one as it could bring in the warmer 850hpa temperatures and turn it all to rain!

Note that would only be temporary though as it should turn cold enough for mostly snow later on today.

Yeah getting some light freezing rain. Roof windows are complete solid shut now from it. Its producing a frosted glaze on the windows.

Path outside is incredibly slippy now.

Temp -0.6c
