Up to about 9 inches of snow here today give or take gawd knows what the snow drifts are and its still snowing now.

Yes been a cracking day so far, up there with 82 I reckon, still coming down and drifting.

No idea how much has fallen in cm but I have over 1 metre laying around the house in places and alot more on walls an hedges etc.

Ppn looks endless if only a bit lighter, how long will this continue :shok::crazy:

Today has seen my deepest snow event since I began recording the weather back in 1993.  I'd recorded 12cm on several occasions in a few different locations, but today reached a level snow depth of approximately 17-18cm (a rough figure because of the drifting).

I’m lost for words, I’ve never seen snow like it!! It’s mental

I know

it’s incredible in all my 14 years here . And now my son is at an age where he can remember it he is eight.

EVERYONE CAN THANK HIM

he wrote to Santa and asked for snow, but had to be powder snow . I did warm him it could be quite late on and may not happen

cheers son and Santa ??

When is it all supposed to change to a NW direction? As others have mentioned, its really building up in N France.

I think 82 was bigger, there were 20ft drifts in places.

Turned into an epic SW blizzard for some. Pretty good here but not quite a NYE 78 or Mid-Jan 87 for Bristol. I have a high benchmark:D

I always joked about large systems incoming from southwest.

Mid always say, jeez look at all this rain , imagine if it was snow I wonder how deep it would be and finally here’s the answer and it’s not done yet by any means.........

❄️????????

Who insulted Emma?! She seems angry and ready to hit us with more snow :girl_devil:

Ice pellets falling here for the last hour or so, so not much more accumulated from the 6-7 inch reading I gave earlier.
