Square route of nothing here

Light snow in Rooksmoor, sure it’ll start for you soon!

One daughter school is closed, other daughter school is open. Phoning open school to see if they'll have them both? I've got sledging to do, can't have them under my feet ??

nothing in BS23 as yet but did have very fine sleet coming in to work.

I’m not sure that would have been sleet!! Air is too cold aloft and on the surface for anything to have melted!

Light snow steady now.  Very windy.

cheapo garden thermometer shows -7c.      Surely not?

snow from yesterday still 3inches deep and frozen with ice underneath on the steps front and back.

trying to keep the birds water from freezing and the food snow free!

our forecast orange for today and Friday!

WOW!

Very fine snow just started to fall in my corner of north devon. More falling elsewhere in north devon e.g. 5 mins down the road!

I was hoping to wake up to a covering but it was like polystyrene balls blowing on the path.

but, in the last 30 minutes it has started to snow. Light but constant and I can't see the Quantocks due to the weather closing in. It is settling here too :drunk:

it's started :D

Moderate snow now and 0.5-1cm down already. Lovely light powdery snow blowing about in the wind at times too even though it's not too windy here being relatively sheltered from the NE. Going to really drift with blizzard like conditions in exposed locations later!
It does look like it's going to ease off any minute here, but still it's a nice start.

-4.6C with a DP of -7.2C.. I'm worried about it being a bit marginal

It’s already splitting around Bristol defiantly going to be a non event for this area only

Looks like strongest wind speeds/gusts should be between 3-9pm, during the period of heavier snow. (Hopefully)

My wife's school has decided not to open, expecting my sons nursery to do likewise. Hopefully snowman time this afternoon.

Steadily snowing, not much wind at the moment, minus 5.1c!

Woke up to a light covering. Only 1cm at best I would say but still it’s snow. :yahoo:

@jtay yes I did and looking at the radar it stopped just as I woke up. :wallbash:

I let out a little girly giggle when I saw 2 cm's of snow on the ground. Such a rare thing for us south coasters.

Light snow here, BBC graphics and METO app not looking as good this morning though, I am an optimist so will just radar and window watch now. RE the red warning people have mentioned I would think that would only be issued if it affects densely populated areas, not sure though.

? Carol Kirkwood’s 7:19am BBC forecast showing snow graphics all over Bristol from early afternoon. Up to 20cm.
