Proper snow now. It's such dry snow. Being blown around on the ground. Should be drifting later. Love the shapes nature can create. Ukmo and gfs prolong the cold.

No, from having seen the radar each time I’ve woken up tonight (lol) I know we haven’t had any since about 11/12 when the streamer was giving some flakes over us! But can see the little piles of snow that has been drifted into still.

That's what I can dimly make out then. I would have been surprised if we had had snow as the radar looked a tad uneventful  . The wind has picked back up though and it's giving some real welly. Lol

Mind you according to the weather station a few miles from me the remap is -7.9 , windchill -17.9 ( it is on the North Somerset coast ) , dew point - 9.4! Wind ENE, 25 mph with gusts of 38 mph .

Snow forecast at 0900 h with the heavy stuff at 1400 and continuing .  We shall see.

I hope those wo want snow have it , but please be safe as you enjoy it.

Looking at the radar I’d suggest we’ll get some light snow much before 9am!

Just peeped out the window here in parkstone, and surprised to see a light dusting already! I’m hoping I can take my little boy out later to build a snowman ⛄️- he’s 2 1/2 and never seen proper lying snow!

Morning everyone, been awake since four thinking how to get out of working when there isn’t any snow on the ground yet!

Looking at the radar it seems the precipitation is now marching nw steadily. Fingers crossed

Can anybody tell me where I should be looking for the source of today’s snow? Is it on the French radar? I can see the moisture over Mid East Franch, but that looks too east?

We can't answer unless we know your location.

Nothing whatsoever here on the isle of Wight, despite what the radar might suggest. Going to be another non event again for us.

We are just tracking 'bonus snow'. The flurries experienced this morning were not expected. The event and indeed, warning of the event does not begin until midday today.
