Still snowing here very lightly nothing has accumulated yet though, but plenty of time for that over today and tonight. :)

Both the 0z Hirlam and 0z Arpege consistent in their output, suggesting we will all wake up to snowcover tomorrow morning;

You can also add the 0z GFS to that list too;

According to the met office the snow around here isn't set to really cause havoc until this afternoon . Apart from a few flakes nothing has fallen so far and the wind has dropped. Lull before the storm perhaps ?

 Othing much on the netweather radar either .

Hope those without power are t cut off for too long.

Mind you according to the weather station a few miles from me the remap is -7.9 , windchill -17.9 ( it is on the North Somerset coast ) , dew point - 9.4! Wind ENE, 25 mph with gusts of 38 mph .

 Snow forecast at 0900 h with the heavy stuff at 1400 and continuing .  We shall see.

I hope those wo want snow have it , but please be safe as you enjoy it.

BBAAAAAANNKKKKKKK!!!

To be fair, the ARPEGE has been very very consistent in what’s been modelled for my area.

Are those timings for Taunton, or the north Somerset coast?

We have some bonus light snow here which is not part of the main event but good to have an aperitif before dinner!

Comparing met Office app now and what it was showing yesterday, everything seems to have been delayed a few hours. Also showing shorter period of heavier snow.

No, from having seen the radar each time I’ve woken up tonight (lol) I know we haven’t had any since about 11/12 when the streamer was giving some flakes over us! But can see the little piles of snow that has been drifted into still.

edit: just checked the radar on NW for recently and it appears we’ve had some of the lightest precipitation we can (in terms of the radar) so I’m not sure if any would have made it to ground anyway!

That’s pretty much the same as me so I would suggest that’s for Taunton

The timings are from the met office app that I have, and the other info is for the North Somerset coast. Well a stretch of the North Somerset coast anyhow.

Yeah radar looks decent, looks like there’s a small band ahead of it ready to give us all some light snow first! Already inland to the east of me.

I'm looking at the French radar and to my untrained eye, the snow storm is shunting well to the east over France. Is this possible ?

It does look like it’s might that way who knows though so volatile at the moment  Currently the latest sat 24 image shows very heavy on moving our way eat of Biscay
