Snow showers just to my North (Thornbury area i reck) snow showers to the South (Bristol)......just a few flakes here. Missing out in SG today.

Latest for tomorrow? It is getting as confusing in here as in mad thread!

Is it a downgrade OR as you were? Cheers

Yep was a brief heavy snow shower and it started to settle very fast. Sun back out and thawing slowly.

It's arrived in SG. Looks like it might get fairly heavy

.. just to add .. the ICON has fallen to 4th place in forecast verification. It's now behind Norway's YR model. Quite a way behind the WRF, and miles behind the AROME.

Yay! You're okay! Thought you'd fallen in a snow hole.

4th Place? Do you mean within the verification stats of the high res models, excluding GFS, ECM etc. A little confused?

Mainly Hi res, but GFS included. No ECM. (EWN = blended WRF model)

Tomorrow's our time jy

We had the slightest dusting yesterday. Our butcher lives Alderbury way and he said that they had more laying than Downton.

Haha indeed! I’m not too bothered as live in Winchester and there has been a few cms of snow there yesterday but it does seem that a snowshield has set up everywhere else in South Hampshire! The snow literally starts and finishes as you enter / leave Winchester off the M3! :yahoo:

I call it the pizza slice zone. Also happens with thunderstorms. I think it might be the Solent microclimate, which to be fair did deliver 1 inch of snow on coast which was not forecast, about A Month ago.

That doesn't look right but I'll take it. You'd expect much higher amounts in South Wales and SE Ireland.

Edit: My bad. Thought it was total snowfall accumulated.
