Guys in Bristol etc prepare for some heavy snow in a couple of hours from the east.

It looks like it's literally going to travel along the M4. On the Northern side, of course. :reindeer-emoji:

Jay is right, that precipitation coming from the east doesn't seem to be fizzling out. I recon those in the NE of our region could see a couple cms from that.

Fantastic stuff in northern Guernsey. Up to 20cm in places. The south of the island barely got touched

Bristol now has light snow forecast right until the end of the weekend;

Any lying snow over the next couple of days could now last throughout the weekend IMBY.  :yahoo:

We're bang in line with the heavier stuff :)

Does look that way, wasn't expecting to see anything today to be honest :D

In a horrid dry slot in Bournemouth with the channel streamer dying out and all the snow heading down the M4. Still bracing in the increasingly strong winds.

Yeah same, that would be a lovely little bonus.

Just looking at the last few frames and it seems to be pepping up if anything. Is that to do with convection from the sun as others mentioned yesterday?

-1.4°C with a DP of -8°C. Looking like it could be an ice day even here on the coast.

Isles of Scilly now has falling snow, this cold spell is noticeable for this alone.

If that snow over the home counties holds, it looks like North Wiltshire, Gloucestershire & South Gloucestershire getting hit.

Bristol itself looks literally a couple of miles south of it based on current track.

It is indeed if you go outside and look at the clouds you can seem them bubbling up pretty nicely at the moment

Now that's a sign of a true beast from the east imo, when it delivers snow all the way down there!

Plymouth grinding to a halt with accidents in Elburton, Devonport, Crownhill.

The dockyard has sent everyone home which is adding to the chaos.

And it’s snowing again

It’s been mostly cloudy so far but the suns out now and the temperatures rising fairly rapidly. Probably won’t go much above freezing but maybe I won’t see an ice day after all.
