Massive downgrade across all sites for southampton snow now guess the models are pushing it west. This week has been very very disappointing....

Hi returning member here still a newbie though! Are referring to today or Thursday with this post?

Not sure if it's been posted already, but we've gone up a box in the warning impact matrix. That summary as well :shok::shok:

Very brief update: I may have been too conservative just now: My earlier predictions (from the last 2 days may have been right after all). Just look at the streamer lengthening again and strengthening during the last hour. The convective activity is still there and adding to it from the east-south-east. Loads of smaller shower echos showing east and south of the coasts up to Brighton. Today's snow may be more widespread after all as it all edges northwards. Just 4 quick charts:

                            0800                                                              Live                                                                 0620                                                        0920

I've got to do some work now but keep an eye on that radar - looking very interesting again.  David

Yep. Getting real in Wembury now.  Although the sky is lifting again as I type, there looks like there is plenty to come.

Swindon looks a degree or so colder throughout than Reading. Any idea why?

:nonono:are you saying we will get nothing.....surely not.....please say that’s not true

It still looks fine. If in doubt, stick to what the Met Office are saying and join us tomorrow for Radar watch.

It's all part of the fun. :)

Min of -6.6C at 3:21 am last night, before picking up to -5.0C at 7am. Decent.

If it went red I wonder which areas would be under it. Presumably the moors they've  mentioned would but would the rest of us?

Would love a 50 mile eastward move on the low looking at the gfs. At the mo we are on the line of the heavy/ lighter stuff. The moors in the sw look awesome!!

Would be nice for us eastern parts of the region. Still time especially seeing the big shift on the GFS last night.

No choice for me - have to walk a mile and a half up the hill to hay the sheep and dig them out of their huts if it is really drifting! That will serve me right for my wishing this on!
