We have woken up to a smattering (I feel like that is a word but not sure this early ) on the top of cars here in central Bournemouth.

Tomorrow on the Meto app is still looking good but off to have a look in the MAD thread.

Noooooo don’t do it!!!!

I’ve abstained from there for 2 days, only because in these situations it all becomes a bit imby and skewed judgement of what might actually happen in our region

off to look at @That ECM post now and that post only!!

Something along the lines of "like the gfs more than the ukmo as Poole seems to get 10 mins more snow than me" add 38 screenshots proving the point.

Joking apart, it's looking good to see some snow and if I were in somewhere around Taunton for eg, I would be very excited. Tomorrow could be a very interesting day.

we could be looking at three days of near continuous snowfall going by MET apps and various warnings etc :0:0:0

I’m in shanklin on the Isle of Wight. Starting to turn white down here due to that streamer keep pepping up just off the coast. Could last a while I hope!!

Can i just say this?

Why? Why? Why? Do we still have to wait 24 hours for the main event? I feel like a kid on Christmas eve here.

Hi all, bit concerned as to why the heavy snow symbols have been removed for Poole tomorrow and now just light snow..although heavy snow showers are now expected today according to the app... changes every 5 minutes! Are we still likely to get the heavy stuff tomorrow?

That's a very open question, precipitation amount & rates will change in any forecast. It's a case of nowcasting.

Morning all, currently -6.2C and very scenic. The moisture level has increased quite notably today compared to the past couple of days as heavy frost covers most outside surfaces. DP this morning -8.2C, and clear with a clear view out over the channel this morning.

T24!! Emma as the Portuguese have called it, could still move 50 miles east or west until t0 so light or heavy snow symbols will keep changing. Sw looks in the firing line even if it does move a bit. Its places like Southampton that don't want to see a westerly correction. Just seen dorsetbred post above, spot on.
