I think it's safe to say I don't think they have a clue what's going to happen ?

Edging south west slowly but surely! But yeah, it looks too good to last until it reaches us :p

Yeah that stuff coming out of the Wash area seems to be holding together somewhat.

I think you must have had a blip on your first radar image because I've been watching that patch for a couple of hours now.

The stream of the beefiest showers is perfectly aligned with my house.

Gonna be salt in the wounds if it fizzles out.

That band of snow stretching back from Northampton to the Wash has a bit of intensity to it.

Can it stay intact before it reaches us, wouldn't  it be nice if it intensifies.

Three hours away from the yellow warning for Tuesday. Very broad band of precipitation coming from Norway now.

The original area under the warning (before being revised) might still see a fair amount of snow from this. No snow received in my area today but am hopeful I'll see some tomorrow.

Snow upgraded for Thursday/friday ? I really think it'll be the case of waking up Friday morning and seeing what is outside. It's been 9 years since we had a decent fall ? a few flurries about this afternoon and it light snowed most of the time I was feeding the horses with the flakes settling on their fur. Looking good for Wednesday too ?

I'm in north Somerset. Drove to here from Kettering this evening. Looking at that radar, you'd think Kettering was getting hammered. Just spoke to the Mrs on the phone and she swears nothing is falling :(

I'm currently just outside the warning area for tomorrow. Hopefully the showers follow what we're seeing on the radar at the moment. They don't seem to be fizzling out too much which bodes well for tomorrow.

I swear there wasn't supposed to be this many showers today, so hopefully they are under playing the potential tomorrow.

I follow an extreme weather page on FB and these types of posts do my head in. You look in the comment section and it's just people moaning and recycled unfunny jokes.

Yeah not very intense ppn but maybe a dusting if there's a long enough train of it. We had something like that over us about 6pm and there were the slightest of feathers blowing around in the wind.

p.s. I'm originally from Wellingborough so I know that neck of the woods!

If you have access to radar, look at the wasted band of precip in the English channel. If you're on a boat, happy days I guess.

Looks Great for that side of the moor. On this side it starts getting marginal to wet when the heavy stuff starts. Come what may I'll be walking up around Princetown before work on Friday to get the last falls till next season
