Oh this is worse than waiting for a baby to arrive. I'm still pining all my hopes we will get something here. Just even half a day of laying snow.

Just thought these might give us all a much needed boost and a few straws to clutch.

Had a slight dusting here and when I mean slight you'd probably need to get a Magnifying Glass out and search for it on hands and knees but it was nice to see it falling out on my run :) something I wasn't expecting just yet!

Still waiting for our first dusting of the week here; wonder if anything will happen in the night. Seeing some nice bands of snow on the radar (please come this way)

I hate to sound negative but I got a bad feeling that this will all end up to far west leaving us with light patchy snow at best if it hasn’t already turned to rain

Yes look at poor southeast with all those heavy showers rolling in.. poor buggers had to wait 5 years!

Childsplay really compared to our 8 :wallbash:

Right pub quiz time hopefully the pub run will cheer me up.

Hope you don’t come back with a wooden spoon like someone did last night. :nea:?

As long as the ppn actually makes it up into the Westcountry (there is a risk it may stay to far west) then I can see places from Bristol to Gloucester getting a memorable snowfall.

Many other places in the firing line obviously but from a personal regional point of view that's where I'm focused.

lets hope everyone from Newton Abbot to Tewksbury, east and west, gets buried eh 'come on you beauty' ;)

You recon there's still time for the low to upgrade further east? Or is the general trend that it will continue west? I'd probably bank what it's showing right now, but it's painful viewing seeing the bulk of the PPN head towards Ireland.

Problem is it keeps trending West unless it trends back east on next run I’m not getting my hopes up

How did miss it?

Just bad luck, wasn't from lack of cold I think Cornish got some as well as south coast but somerset and I dont think Bristol got anything bar the occasional flurry. I remember watching radar and an area out east just not quite making it far enough west and of course you remember the Chanel low that went into France.

Check with khodds and jethro but im sure we missed it..

the jan 2013 event was an active cold front that came in from the WNW.....gave several inches widely.......you must have been very drunk that day to have not noticed.....lol......or was it jan 2012?....maybe it was me that was too drunk...but I defintely remember inches of white powder and I'm not talking the illegal kind

When are we talking? 2013? If so nope - it was depressingly cold and dry... abit like this week really ?
