Thanks @knocker I thought that’s what you meant but didn’t want to misquote you. Sounds good to me, EPIC even :)

Breaking news on the Beeb - Highways Agency has declared a Snow Emergency in Kent.

Wonder where BEEB has got that from?  - HE not tweeted anything yet to that respect (they are Highways England now not the Highways Agency)..

What is the news the low doesnt move as far north now on thurs/fri? Is it not passing as far west now? What are the chances for southampton snow thurs/fri? Rather than a bit of snow then rain?

HIRLAM - which today hasn't too bad, is kind to some of us later.

Right, we're off out for a walk to intercept this flurry moving in from Hampshire.

Had three flakes at lunchtime today . That'll do for me. I must be the only person who dislikes snow, but  I'm very happy for those who do like it and I hope it pays off for you all and that you enjoy it .

Its bitterly cold here but nothing compared to what it might be later on in the week.

-2 C feeling like -8.2 C

10 mph easterly ,

dew point - 7.9C

presure 1030hPA.

Exciing eh?

Lighter snow flurry this time, right on the edge of the shower this time around. Central Oxford looked dark, perhaps heavier here.

What are your thoughts on Saints this year? Do you think they're going to get out of it?
Stoke on Saturday looks like a six pointer already. The way they're playing, I suspect they're going to need that superior goal difference in the end.

I'm going to the game on Saturday, but if I'm honest, I'm hoping that it gets called off due to snow; so I can go sledging all day. :reindeer-emoji:

We have the players to get out of it but sadly the boards refusal to sack Mr Bean and get a proper, competent manager in will probably end up costing us. Their unwavering support for him is bizarre tbh. Stoke game is huge but I'm not confident.

Had a decent amount of snow this morning driving around the Winchester and Alresford area with some of it sticking, not had so much this afternoon but still a decent start to the week. Most snow I've seen for several years!

I really have no idea what's going to happen at the end of the week now, I suppose just hoping for the best but expecting the worst (a bit like going to Saints games these days)!

Just got back from my walk, had a little roam around Tinney's Firrs - some light flurries that soon turned heavy and then light again, followed by an observation of the sunset! I guess all this snow searching could help me lose a few kilos, hehe.

12z WRF NMM delays the front until Friday daytime, but still with a similiar theme of snowfall inland & freezing rain or just rain around coasts;

Just a copy of my post in the other thread

The updated fax charts for midday Tuesday-1200 Weds showing the wave over Wales and the convergence zone through the channel. Thus the snow showers may impinge more along the south coast.
