It must be miserable for the players to be expected to perform in shorts and t-shirt :cold::cold:

They get paid enough.

I won’t quite bank the GFS as it still brings in milder air to coastal areas for a time but it’s an improvement on earlier.

Definitely an upgrade on the GFS/ICON/UKMO for Thurs/Fri in as much as there seems more snow around the region than previous runs.

As others have said, the Meto have also now issued a weather warning for Friday covering everywhere NE of Exeter pretty much.

Will be interesting to see how the ECM looks later on to see if its following the same trend.

Which the GFS will probably do. It does this. Over blows the lows, then gently creeps back hoping nobody notices.

Actually that GFS chart only has it as rain from late Friday. It’s all snow until that point. With a bit of luck that could become all snow.

Hmm, starting to think of the 2004 thunder snow event maybe?

That day i left Exeter for London by train on the waterloo line and it was raining (apparently stayed as rain in Exeter).  Still raining when i went through a tunnel near chard, but appeared on the other side to snow and lightning!

Just watching that shower just passing over Southampton Water and it looks like the water might’ve allowed it to intensify slightly from something that was fizzling out to something a bit more substantial. Just shows what’s bit of water does.

Ooohhh - I'm really liking ICON this afternoon. The perfect end scenario after wobbles of the last few days. Disrupt, pivot and slide....

Expand on EPIC Knocker, we could have a very different view of EPIC lol

Apologies. Sorry just me being facetious about the carefree use of the word elsewhere. I was just thinking with the low level wind veering a tad there would maybe more chance of the Channel snow showers encroaching further north into coastal areas.

If the GEM is correct, will be an all-day blizzard on Thursday for virtually all of us!

Please explain Knocker? :cc_confused:  I get that Storm Emma is possibly going to be deflected by the high into Ireland, and we want it to go NE into our region but I can't read charts....

My apologies Kate, see my reply to Karlos.
