Still not certain. Best for us (I'm including Cardiff with Warminster...) looks to the Meto and Icon, with ECM not too bad. Even GFS is a only a few changes away from being all snow for you/me, and potentially from Thurs until Saturday, with colder uppers moving south again. I think we still won't be certain until Tues eve or even Wed to be honest. I don't think (here comes the jinx) that many of us will see NO snow, its more the case of wether its a lot, or some then freezing rain etc.

the worry is the gfs and Ecm are pushing it further west, that trend needs to change.

Indeed. A trend that has been increasing run on run since early yesterday

The ukmo is sticking to pretty good for us. Even somewhere between the two would probably work. I just hope the gfs is heading in the wrong direction

Might be straw grasping, but history tells us that GFS doesn't handle these sorts of systems particularly well, os hopefully UKMO is on the money. ARPEGE hi res model is good too. Would love to be able to see MOGREPS this morning.

Helps being this far north of the coast where I am as well

Seems the Meto web site is still down. It's almost as if they have a sudden increase in visitor numbers for some reason causing it to crash.....

I've just got in. First time today. No real change from last night's forecast

latest BBC forecast (updated 20 mins ago on website) looks very very good for us Thurs/Friday ! Looks all snow, and we get a fair a mount from two separate fronts associated with that low :)  Fingers crossed it delivers for us!

The dandruff snow we had has no stopped (I work right on the clifftop in Bournemouth so was surprised it started!)

The clouds have come rolling in really quickly though. Fingers crossed.

Looks like the snow in the channel has pivoted slightly and is making more inroads into southern Devon, bit heavier stuff now making land fall!!

Wierd. Think I'll close down my browser and refresh the cache to see if that fixes it.

Maybe I am wrong and it's just wishful thinking.... but, I think they have the warm up far too quickly. I just can't see it going from 1 to 8 degrees in 12 hours. I just can't. It' too progressive for my very inexperienced brain!

Every single model is showing this for coastal counties at least, i'm afraid.

is the seafront at Weston Super Mare - really frozen? The BEEB isn't wrong though on that windchill - possibly taters out there... :cold::cold:http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-43190440

Pretty concise on the GFS ensembles . Whilst not mild, there's a good consensus  for normal temperatures out to the 6th March. A cold snap it is!
