Even though it doesn't say heavy on the met office app I still think it will be for some reason

I’ve noticed they rarely show heavy even when it is when it comes to snow.

Well I'm working in Dorchester today and I've noticed on the met office app for Friday showed very heavy snow fall for Friday. Then within 1 hr of the GFS run this changes to light. BUT within the last 20mins it's reverted back to heavy snow. Still very optimistic (for a change) Fridays event will be epic. I don't expect the gfs outcome happening myself especially against such a cold pool. Expect a blend between gfs n ecm option which would be good enough.

Just been doing some tidying up in and around the pond. I'm roasting in the sunshine. Up to 7.5°C here.

Almost a perfect solar graph:

re. mad thread.....to be fair to all, if members are discussing a potential breakdown based on valid model output then I personally have nothing against it, it's on topic...and the GooFuS is showing a potential breakdown ofsuch in a week or so's time from the incoming contintental pattern........however what is not good is if mild rampers start trying to 'laud' it over the coldies as that's where bickering starts...which is pretty much what is happening in that thread....Some of the hard core militant coldies are doing themselves no favours by completely dismissing any run that doesn't show snowy nirvana.....I prefer the coldies/weather enthusiasts who whilst dismissing certain runs, do so with bloody good & sound analysis of the reasons why

Take a look at the latest Meto further outlook for the end of next week.

Not often you see the words "blizzard", "disruptive", "southern UK" & "snowfall" in the same sentence.

Can you give me a link for that please as the app is crap on iPhone and can’t see these warnings unless on pc

cheers

I think the “utterly bizarre post” is the one that mentions exactly that. Look at his other posts just before yours.

This is the Southwest thread, Jay. They don't care about us up in Cardiff.

Now, what we're all really desperate to know is whether it'll snow in Budleigh Salterton.

Afternoon from the broom cupboard at work. Very pleasant day here. So much so some nutters have opened the windows and doors  (hence I'm sheltering in the cupboard). Looking forward to digging myself out of a snowdrift when I finish work Thursday night.
