Why don’t I remember 2009 being that snowy?!

You live in wells

It was only like that on hills.

Just got back from an errand, and the wind is cold enough right now.. I cannot imagine what it'll be like next week!

That was the year I got stuck for several days and my boss in bristol demanded pictures to prove it because they only had 4 inches of slush at 100m in whitchurch.

The low moving north into the western Channel at T168 on the ecm would bring moderate snow to the south west and the further east but with max temps around -3C the wind chill would be horrific.

That sounds exquisite ?

Edit: must stress love heart eyes are for the weather and not Knocker. I’m sure to his relief lol

Twice for me. Once this year. :D

The one time I did see it was quite spectacular. Started as rain, suddenly changed to very heavy snow and a few minutes later a flash of lightning. It accumulated very quickly as well although I don’t know how much there was.

Holy channel low! The ECM is EXACTLY what we need! You couldn't draw it any better! I'm going to drink to it!

It's the accumulated snow depth for the 12z EC Det run up until the 2nd March.

Although the chart itself should only be used as a bit of fun as they are notoriously unreliable.

Did some shopping today. Got a lot of convenience foods and some tinned soups. Plenty of tea, long life milk and a few biscuits and crisp type things. I feel a little more secure in my burrow now, and I didn't forget the bacon for a nice sandwich at some point. Didn't buy much bread but do have a few bread mixes if conditions become breadless.

It'll be fine in your igloo Knocker.

Is IF still on the fence or has he now mentioned we will get snow?

I will give him huge credit too though as i remember him and Chris fawkes saying some time ago about this cold spell and chris showed the high in exact placement Iceland and  reckon he will be bang on. They both called it perfectly.

He mentioned Friday as being a possibility; but earlier in the week no disruptive snow *at the monent*

so all could change I guess?
