We're now down to T120 on charts like this:

Running out of adjectives - don't think I've used PHENOMENAL!! yet

For a complete newbie who's just found us today, this chart basically shows Russian winter air heading straight for us - and a lot of it. Get your blinking thermals sorted now and fast!

Loving the Kink in the flow .... SNOW

That'll be me then.

I've only really started paying attention to these models today. I'm not really sure what I am looking at, but I can tell from you guys reactions, that it's going to be a cold one!

I'm not moaning or trolling but that low pressure off the western coast of France in your 2nd image is getting a bit too close for comfort and could be a threat in terms of prolonging this upcoming spell. Not sure it's disrupting quite enough and it might leave the door open for Iberian heights. I think we'll still be ok and it's a week away

It is something I'll be watching out for in tonight's and the morning's runs. We want that low moving East and not North East

ICON gets the Azores low that bit closer than the previous run with the plus uppers - should be ok as the ridge pushed down though. This is definitely the theme of the day !

Dangerous game, especially for southern parts as it brings in 'mild' sectors... The GEFS have showed this in recent runs also.

Ukmo perfect for England and Wales, not so great for Scotland.
