Yep agree the dew points are far to low for it to be anything but snow

Dont under estimate the powers of convection and instability:D. That wadge of light snow off the Northumberland coast right now was a mere twinkle in our eyes 4 hours ago off Dundee. Check out the big boy behind it.:cold::cold-emoji:

It's going to be so disappointing for the area that is just that slight bit too far North, but it's inevitable that some of us will be in that boat.

Looking at the track of this thing, I think it will make landfall in Teeside about 11pm.   The low seems like it has not developed yet at the front.

Hoping we might squeeze something from the upcoming feature, though the charts suggest it will all go to our SE.. very frustrating really. Indeed we are not under any warning tomorrow, but I'm taking these with a pinch of salt, straight lines ignoring topography never look right, and the line shown tomorrow through NW England looks just odd..

Wednesday will see our chances for heavy snow showers increase. May then have to wait until Saturday, I'll be very annoyed if it pivots and then drifts away to our south..

Swings and roundabouts! Lost count of the number of times us in the North East have sat and watched the North West/ Lakes turn white we stay green and wet lol.

Having said that in good humour, I know how it feels and sympathise. We'll see if we can blow some over for you, we will have some spare?

I wonder if we can use the light section that has developed ahead as a marker for where the main part will hit? The marker is Washington.

Will be interesting to see what this gives. According to the radar there’s been precipitation all day but actually we’ve had a few flakes

The lighter patch seems to be swinging it at a different angle compared to the snake behind it.  More a an easterly component.    On the current track of both, this what could happen, but if the snake follows suite with the angle of the lighter patch then it will hit further north.image.thumb.png.4a66c988ad101230953ed4be5459bd54.png

Yes that follows what you can see on the radar.  The lighter patch is getting pulled more Easterly, which means the track of the snake will change before it makes landfall, keeping it more north when makes landfall.   Reminds me of the shape of the pnn from 26th Nov 2010 when we got 8"

Just got back from collecting the boy from scouts and it's nowhere near as cold as I thought it would be by now
